Reviewed 2/19/13. 16.9 fl oz bottle into a weizen glass. A: Pours a typical cloudy gold color. This doesn’t have an amazing head for the style, but it’s still a two finger white shade with decent retention and a good creaminess to it. S: Fairly banana-heavy, with some crisp wheat and bubblegum esters. Touches of clove and coriander also come through. Aromatically, it’s well done, but not a standout in the style. T: Pleasantly mellow banana esters start things off. The finish is mild wheat malt and the faintest ’ping’ of earthy noble hops, but perhaps my favorite feature is the note of milky cream that ties the midtaste It’s not particularly bold, inspiring, or complex, but like I said - pleasantly mellow. M: I could use a creamier finish here - the astringency is a bit too coarse for my tastes. Having said that, this ticks many good qualities I expect from the style: nice dryness/crispness, light in its texture, high (not overbearing) carbonation, and superb drinkability. O: Good stuff. Don’t know what else to say apart from this being a solidly good weizen.

Medium sized, quickly disappearing snowy white head. Aroma of lemon sponge cake. Mildly sour taste with a delicate bitterness behind. White bread and lemon peel on the palate. Not at all complex, but always very refreshing. Really something inbetween a Helles and a typical "heavier" Bavarian Weizen.

0,5l Flasche. Typisches Hefeweizen, im Gechmack kommt eher das Weizenmalz durch als die fruchtige Komponente.

Bottle, 500ml. Pours hazy golden yellow. Very tall and dense white head. Strong aroma of banana and vanilla, some honey and very slight yeast scent. body is medium, carbonation is medium to strong. Mouth feel is creamy and thick. Taste is quite sweet, slight pleasant sourness, almost no bitterness. Flavors of vanilla, alight yeast, some wheat, floral honey, some sharp esteric notes, slight malt. After taste is sweet with honey notes. A very nice beer. Easy to drink and not heavy, yet full and present. Flavor profile is very nice, with no off flavors and mouth feel is also great. Only problem is being a bit boring and repetitive from sip to sip.

I discovered this Hefe Wiezen while in Germany with the Army and it has become my favorite Hefe. It has delicate notes of citrus and a refreshing light sour taste with a clean crisp finish.

From tap. Cloudy pale golden with a creamy head. Aroma of cream toffee with notes of banana. Taste is mild and enjoyable with a lot of carbonation which makes it refreshing. Nice one!

Aromas of bubblegum and bananas rise from a cloudy yellow pour providing a frothy white head and nominal lacing. The taste is pleasing. Wheat and yeast combine in a soft mouthfeel. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Overall, quite refreshing. While enjoyable, I wish the taste equaled the aroma in strength.

Bottle. Cloudy yellow with a typical hefe head. Aroma is of malt, wheat, citrus, only light esters. Flavour follows similar line, it’s quite a subdued hefeweizen. Not the worst you could find but an example of an average hefeweizen.

Banana invades nose after bottle opening. Bit citrusy, light wheaty, bit clove. Light sweetness. Drinkable, but bit too bland and boring
