3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
50 cL bottle. Pours hazy yellow with a huge, dense and white head. Light fruity and wheaty aroma. Flavour is medium sweet and with a light mix of ester and acdic notes. Light wheaty flavour with a mild citric note following. Rather dry. Ends with a mild wheat driven fruit note - does not going into distinct banana/bubblegum notes. Nice hefe weizen, not too banana flavoured yet not boring either.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
An orange beer with a fine dense head. The aroma is wheaty - very simple, and the flavor is also wheaty and quite boring. All in all this beer is boring - if I want a Hefeweizen I won't choose this one.

1.4 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20
Bottled. Cloudy golden, small creamy head. Fruity and sweaty. A bit cloying with disturbing syrup. Generally porrly structured and not the slightest refreshing. With so many Franconian weizenbiers there is no reason to drink this.

1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Hazy blond color. Smells like warm plastic, with some spices. Simple Weizen taste, again plastic.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap. Hazy, golden-yellow pour, with a large, white head leaving nice lacings. Banana, citrus-notes, some yeast and cloves in the aroma. The flavor isn’t as intriguing, but still nice, with banana, yeast, cloves and some citrus. Medium, slightly fizzy mouthfeel. A nice and refreshing beer, finishing clovey and bananaish. (070804)

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle at my local Spoons. I’ve been putting off having this until I was in a Spoons with nothing else to drink.... well that took a month and a bit at my local one then. Hazy light gold colour with a lasting thickish white head. Well balanced and attractive lemon/banana/cereal aroma. Fullish in mouth with more lemon curd on the swallow. Well put together weizen with maybe a touch of sweet lemon on the finish. Very drinkable though and I would happily spend a few hours drinking this. I was offered to have it with ice which was a touch off putting. Honestly staff in Spoons kill me sometimes.
