Bottle in the moon under water jdw Watford. In a proper glass as well. Hazed light yellow / golden coloured pour with a lasting frothy off white head. Aroma is nice wheat grains, spicy clove yeast derived phenols, hints of banana bread. Flavour is wheat and bready malts, slightly flabby. Tangy wheaty and some Clove. Bottle from the White Lady Corstorphine. Pours hazy light golden. Pure white fluffy head. Banana aroma. Nice light refreshing fresh white bread flavours...banana sandwich in fact. Light spice and yeastiness. Slightly on the dry side. Drinking this cold in warm October sunshine. Can’t fault it for heffeweisen refreshingability.

Lovely soft foam, but otherwise this is not a hefeweizen in any way stand out from the crowd. The classic aroma of cloves and freshly cut grain rises from the glass. The taste is clean and it has good notes of overripe banana, that is a somewhat more luscious banana note than other hefeweizen usually offers. It might seem a bit synthetic, but on the whole it remains within the type of accuracy.

UPDATED: NOV 5, 2015 Bottle at The Green Dragon, Leek (JDW) Pours a slightly hazy golden colour with a thick, fizzy white head. Aroma of bread, banana, clove, some bubblegum and subtle vanilla. Taste of bread, banana, clove, slight vanilla, some sharp lemon and spicy hops. Light bodied but a lively carbonation. A lingering, spicy, clove bitterness in the finish. Typical Weissbier flavours but somehow a lot more flavourful. A good Weissbier overall.
