Leicht aromatischer, hopfiger Geruch. Antrunk süßlich-hopfig, Zitrone, Gras. Mitte, hopfig, Melone, grapefruit. Abgang bitterwürzig und mild aromatisch. Gutes Pils - der Aromahopfen Saphir ist für meinen Geschmack und für ein Pils gut dosiert.

Bottle from b&m Blaydon, Gateshead. Very pale straw coloured with a toffee and malty flavour, grassy notes and a sweet strawberry! on the dry fruity finish.

Blonde and bland with next to no head and a carbonation. Has a light texture and malt.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein klares goldenes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch hopfig, getreidig, grasig. Geschmack hopfig, grasig, lang anhaltende Bitterkeit.

Bottle from B&M. Pale golden beer with large head that quickly reduces to just around the rim. Aroma of sweetcorn and pale malts. Taste is sweet malts, hops and some mild spice. Decent.

Bottled 16/01/14. A blonde headless beer. A bit of a sweet and sickly lager. Lemony hopping but an unpleasant creamy sweetness. A metallic twinge too. Has character but not all the flavours are for me.

Looks better than it tastes, having said that this is beer to quench a thirst. For 5% it is nice smooth drink little or no fizz. Very clear, little aroma. Only got the one bottle from B&M wish I had got more to keep them cold for that quick cold beer. Better than most pils out there despite my opening comments.

Tall half-litre bottle: BBD 15 Feb 14. Bought in a local cheap supermarket (B&M) and poured into an embossed ’Cobra’ pint glass at home on 18 Dec 13. Pale golden, bright and clear, very clean looking: on top a large white foaming head. A hop bite to the initial taste, some hop esters in the smell, grains also. Better than a lot of the ’mainstream’ German lager/pilsners in both aroma and taste. Once into it you realise It is sweeter than a lot of the well known German beers in this style, which is maybe why I’ve enjoyed it so (my sweet tooth coming through again). Refreshing and somehow wholesome in it’s make-up. Evokes memories of happy times in Nurnberg and Germany in general.

0.5l bottle. Golden color, fluffy white head. Nice aroma of hops, some malt. The hop notes are very decent, some citrus, mostly herbal notes. Taste is dry, nice bitterness, typical pilsner mouthfeel.

DruncanVeasey (6950) - NUNEATON, Top 24, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - DEC 5, 2013
UPDATED: DEC 6, 2013 Bargain bottle from Nuneaton B&M of course. Pours bright and fizzing with a snow-white, gently undulating head. Cream, grass, fizz and discreet satsuma aroma, with some cardboard as it warms. Soft maize-like malt on the palate; lager and lime/lemonade shandy notes; definite understated orange-and-cream fruitiness unusual in a pilsener. Slight tissue (bog roll) notes as it nears room temp. Leaning towards (but plenty more sophisticated than) macro lager. Carbonation flattens quickly. Perfectly acceptable Thiday night refreshment and a decent enough start to what will undoubtedly be a boozy long weekend.

Poors clear and golden with white head. Herbs and grass aroma. Clear hop aroma and nice fitting bitterness. A good one ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
