The head is ok. it smells sweet-cherry. The taste is roasty, sweet and a bit malty. Drinkable 10/9/10/9/11/10

Pours a dark caramel color, head is high with poor retention. Lacing is medium. Smell caramel like and little or no presence of hoppines. taste is boring with some refreshing character. It is not the beer I would like to have normally.

Bottle - 500ml. Limpid dark body with average carbonation and a fair off-white foamy head. Well balanced malty/hoppy aroma with some nutty hints. Taste carries grainy/woody notes and ends with a decent bittersweet finish. Enjoyable Dunkel.

Jukkabro (3484) - Tampere, FINLAND - AUG 4, 2011
Dark brown colored, medium sized yellow head. Chocolate dominates in nose, with slight roasted note, thin grass also comes up. Medium bodied. Flavor is more dry with chocolate still dominating, roastiness and some dark fruits last in aftertaste.

Bottle looks simple, but good. Beer in the glass very dark, almost black, nice head. Starts soft-malty, notes of chocolate, more dry than sweet. Well balanced finish, notes of dried fruits. Good beer!

Maria (10213) - Thisted, DENMARK - MAY 11, 2010
It’s dark brown with a red hue and a huge, creamy head. The aroma has notes of malt, syrup and caramel. The flavour is sweet with notes of malt, syrup and caramel, and the finish is slightly dry with a hint of syrup. It’s nice, but the sweetness is a bit too strong, and makes me give a slightly lower score.

judasbeer (431) - Budapest, HUNGARY - APR 25, 2010
Appearance: Deep chestnut tinted-body with a porous beige head on the top.
Aroma: Moderate lagery yeast sourness with a touch of earthy feel and some faint burnt sugar.
Flavor: Mildly sweet toffes, oily, nutty, toasty malts followed by a smooth, slighlty sour, yeasty notes and framed with soft and spicy hops.
Mouthfeel/Palate: Pleasantly easy but enough mouth-filling body with saturated carbonation and a good caramel malty-flavor-profile.
Overall: A very clean and pure bavarian dunkel. Not too unique, but tasy one.
