Our white Belgian ale is lightly hopped and perfectly spiced. Using the finest water, wheat, pilsner malt, hops, and honey, we make our Marshallville Wit with warm South Jersey summer days in mind. This citrusy unfiltered ale has hints of coriander and chamomile from start to finish.

Sampled at Battleship NJ beerfest (Camden). Had the regular version and a small batch cask version dry hopped with Nelson and Curaçao. I'm rating the cask version since I liked it better. Poured a cloudy straw color with a tiny white head of foam. Aroma of lemons, sweet malts, coriander, wheat, and light funk. Taste mimicked the nose with some notes of tangerine zest. The regular version was similar with more herbal notes.

Draft at the brewery with Linh, mom and Scarlett. Pours a light orange body with thick white lacing. Aroma is coriander, light orange and earthy wheat. Mouthfeel is medium with notes of spice, coriander and wheat. Straightforward wit, and not bad overall.

No bottling information.

A: Poured rather hard from the bottle after realizing the beer was pouring placid and still barely got much head, just a thin white head that quickly died down, not sure how it has a bad head as a wheat beer. The body is an opaque pale gold, sort of like a watered down orange juice.

S: The aroma is tart here with light spices and a light funk, perhaps even a hint of bubblegum and a light chamomile aroma I couldn’t put my finger on until I read the description. Nice aroma here.

T: The flavor is very citrus oriented with oranges and lemon, light chamomile, light spice on the finish with a light funk.

M: This is lacking carbonation unfortunately, only a very light tingle on the tongue.

O: This is a solid beer, and I expect it a bit better with a little more carbonation. I like this more than the rating indicates, but it’s a tad expensive.

Pours cloudy gold with a white head out of growler. Aroma is light citrus, wheat and earthy. Taste is sweet with some tartness. Very solid, especially after a day on the beach.

Delightful summer ale with a nice bit of fruit and spice to cool things down. Pours a cloudy yellow with a thin white head. The aroma has fruit and spice, just right, nothing dominant. Same with the taste. Nicely balanced allowing all the flavors to emerge. Nicely done.
