2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Hophazard (193) - San Francisco, California, USA - FEB 14, 2011
A medicinal smell carries a warning. Appears as a reddish hue of brown with a fading taupe head. Hazy. Biscuity/toastiness jump out in a pleasant way on the flavor. A fairly heavy beer for the style. Tastes as though the hops were a bit off or beer lines were dirty. Not far from a good beer, but not quite there.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 anders37 (9280) - Malmö, SWEDEN - OCT 20, 2008
Draught @ the brewpub. Pours a hazy dark amber color with a small off-white head.Sligtly roasted malty caramel aroma. Sweetish malty caramel flavor with some weak hints of hops. Has a slightly roasted malty caramel finish.
2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Angeloregon (2054) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUN 13, 2008
On tap at Tugboat. Poured a murky to light amber with no body. Caramel malt notes, thin and watery. Slightly acidic and dull as sin.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 DrunkenWeasel (224) - Portland, Oregon, USA - OCT 7, 2006
Not a bad amber. Smells of a balanced amount of the tugboats hops and caramel malts. Tastes equally of the two and goes down smooth. Doesn’t have too yeasty a flavor as some ambers do. Not bad.

[Tap – Brew Pub]
A amber colored brew that was just there nothing special about this brew. The beer was light in flavor and seemed to be missing a few key ingredients. Wish I had a better beer to finish the night.
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 harlequinn (2745) - Tacoma, Washington, USA - JAN 12, 2006
This was definitely infected, along wih everything else that I tried from this place. Strong sour musty aromas and flavors. You can tell this has some great potential though. Pours a nice amber color with a tan head that is nice a frothy, but everything else just went sour after that.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 JoeMcPhee (6835) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 31, 2005
Nice ruddy amber beer. Tart fruity aroma, a bit of cherry and strawberry. Light horseblankety aroma (uh oh). I don’t think it’s supposed to be sour, but its definitely infected. I wouldn’t say the infection kills it though. Sort of ends up being a bit tart and fruity. Quite refreshing actually. Thin body.

Beautiful amber color with a good head and a very clean look. This was hoppier then you would expect from an amber ale, but still a nice beer to sit and read one of their books.
