DrunkenWeasel (218), Portland, Oregon, USA Oct 7, 2006 Pours a clouded yellow. Smells of the same hops as other tugboat beers. Tastes of nothing but the hops that are in all the other tugboat beers but not as strongly as in some. Week tepid aftertaste. A dissapointment. acrdz (4129), Pennsylvania, USA Jul 23, 2005 Had this as just "Pale Ale" at the brewery, July 2005. Had a bit of a funky smell to it (don’t they all?) - with some old cheese and leafy hops, some spoiled fruit such as orange, pineapple and apricots. Just plain weird. motelpogo (4111), Plzen, Czech Republic Dec 4, 2004 on tap at tugboat. pretty decent apa. grapefruit and lemon aroma with a fair amount of bitterness and frozen yoghurt in the finish duff (5403), Sydney, Australia, Surrey, England Jun 17, 2004 Tap@Tugboat. Pretty bitter and dry, a cross between an English and American style pale ale. Has the aromatic NW hops, with a salty, bitter dryness in English beers. OK by me. OldGrowth (1256), Cary, North Carolina, USA Oct 7, 2003 Draft: Bready, Yeasty, Citrusy (grapefruit) nose. Amber color. Bitter grapefruit taste. Clean, but bitter finish. Very Good.
