2.3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 Shink (177) - Portland, Oregon, USA - MAY 25, 2012
Pours a light cloudy golden color with no head. Not much aroma and taste is of light malt with a bitter aftertaste.
2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 Hophazard (193) - San Francisco, California, USA - FEB 14, 2011
Earthy, cheesy aroma of english hops. A strawberry blond color with frothy white head. Lemon-acidic to start, followed by a funky, cheesy flavor. Fades into a slightly sour citrus character. Mouthfeel is a bit thin. Overall, a beer that tasted a bit more like some sort of fruit sour.
2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20 after4ever (5279) - Brier, Washington, USA - MAY 10, 2009
Draft at Tugboat. Wow, too bad about this one. Bright orangey medium amber, headless, laceless. Plenty of rising carb. Looks kinda like a pop. Weirdly aluminum-esque candied orange hops. Fizzy, watery body. Aluminum, candied oranges, and aspartame on the mid-palate. Tastes like a two day hangover.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20 DrunkenWeasel (224) - Portland, Oregon, USA - OCT 7, 2006
Pours a clouded yellow. Smells of the same hops as other tugboat beers. Tastes of nothing but the hops that are in all the other tugboat beers but not as strongly as in some. Week tepid aftertaste. A dissapointment.

Had this as just "Pale Ale" at the brewery, July 2005. Had a bit of a funky smell to it (don’t they all?) - with some old cheese and leafy hops, some spoiled fruit such as orange, pineapple and apricots. Just plain weird.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 duff (5484) - Lund, SWEDEN - JUN 17, 2004
Tap@Tugboat. Pretty bitter and dry, a cross between an English and American style pale ale. Has the aromatic NW hops, with a salty, bitter dryness in English beers. OK by me.
