COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Tui Blond is a sparkling, crisp lager, naturally brewed in the classic continental blond style. Blond style lagers have been going down a treat in Europe since 1852, so we thought it was about time we had a crack at doing better-er. After all we’ve been brewing beer since 1889. Although we chose to spell ours Blond without the ‘e’ because Blonde is a bit girly.

33cl bottle. Pours golden with steady bubbles and a nice head. The nose has butterscotch and pale malt. The taste is of toffee, just a hint of nuts and cream. The palate is light to medium in texture and structure and quite clean on the finish. Overall, not spectacular but happy to drink it.

A pale golden beer with a lazing off-white head. The aroma has notes of straw, citrus and a bit of malt - though a bit boring. The flavor is sweet with notes of citrus, malt, metal, and a bit of cardboard, leading to a dry cardboardy finish

Bottle:   Golden in color, clear, large sudsy white head, spotty lacing.   Musty straw and old apples on the nose.   Grassy on the tongue, some hay and straw, somewhat sweet.   Very clean and crisp.   Not too much otherwise, but its clean and has a nice sweetness with the straw/hay aspect.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Clean finish, soft grassiness and old apples linger.   Better than I expected.   Thanks Bob for the bottle!

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours a clear golden with a small white head. Very discreet aroma of hardly.....anything. Light body, extremely bland and watery, no real hops either. Inoffensive - but so bland that it’s a bit of a joke. 040213

Bottle: Golden, visible carbonation, small white foamy layer, bready-fruity nose; light sweet-bitter flavour, almost a bit sour, not caused by infection; watery MF; delicate bready-fruity finish. Yuk....

330ml bottle. Pours a toffee brown colour. Smooth taste and palate. Not too much much fizz which fades quickly.

No aroma, no flavour (except for some maltiness, some raspberry juice and NO hops). At least it is not physically repulsive... As for the idiotic marketing, I could not agree more with Jimthechap (below). When watching the Crusaders or Canterbury at the stadium, I refuse to drink this product. I will have much better beer at home, before and after the games.
