COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
’East India Pale Ale’ was first brewed in England last century for the colonies East of India such as New Zealand and Australia. The beer was unpasteurised and secondary fermentation occured in the bottle during the long journey. Thirsty settlers loved its natural effervescent character and we reckon it still hits the spot today.
Brewer’s Comment: This fine ale is a thoroughly refreshing beer with a light palate best suited to beaches, barbecues and all beer related occasions.
Serving Suggestions: Serve lightly chilled on its own or with any manner of barbecued meats. At restaurants, or when trying to impress others, try and use a glass. Do not mix with salad.
Cellaring: Yeah right!

Slight honey aroma. Dark brown colour with good head. Heavy malt flavor, nice. Medium body with high carbonation.

Rötlich-braun, in der Nase leichtes Malz, pappige Süße, etwas Gras. Am Gaumen Malz, Süße, keinerlei Bitterstoffe. Hat nichts mit einem IPA zu tun. Sehr wässrig und relativ belanglos, aber trinkbar. Als IPA 0 Punkte wert. Als normales Bier immer noch langweilig.

From a bottle. Pours a dark copper colour, aroma of malt, some hops fruity flavours and mild bitterness.

Pours a dark coppery color, topped with decent white head. Retention is fine. There is a slightly fruity and caramely malty aroma which is easily picked up and very nice. The taste is sweet and very light (watery). The body is quite flat. Slight biscuity feel and little caramel too. OK, but.... not that great.

330ml bottle at home. Pours deep amber, light caramel aroma. Has a distinct English bitter character, thin malts, vague caramel, bready, weak hops, watery and very disappointing!

33cl bottle bb06/2014, bierpost. Drunk 05/2014. Not actively bad, just disappointing if approached in any way as an IPA. An industrial concoction of stale black tea and corn and malt syrup much on par with new style Palm, Bass Pale Ale, with a touch less hops and more cardboard. Remains drinkable and probably not wholly ruinous when mixed in salad dressing on a weekday.

This is a great beer which has been slaking my thirst for half a century, A living tribute to the foresight of Henry Wagstaff in using water for a higher purpose than making a simple cup of tea

Good looking 0,33 l bottle. Bought in a german small town bottle shop. Dark amber or is it brown in the glass? Clear, nearly no head. Low malty in the nose. Tastes like ... I have to think ... like watery black tea? Guys, do you use hop for your beer that you call East India Pale Ale? Maybe it´s a thin ale. But nothin´ more. Disappointment! Okay, I get a new country tick.

You could probably drink twenty of these dirty birds a day and be alright. Very sweet and inoffensive lager, slightly malty and not very hoppy. A fun beer to slam down with the fellahs after a hard days yakka but nothing that will make your tastebuds moan for more. Better than most North American macro shit I have had.

Geruch malzig aber hauptsächlich muffig, insgesamt wenig intensiv. Geschmack etwas nach Jauche, malzig, süßlich, Silage. Da ist eindeutig Platz nach oben.
