sinkhole (121), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Apr 21, 2006 Unique beer that’s definitely not your traditional IPA. A light fruit smell, with a sweeter than normal taste and surprisingly dark appearance.
This beer was the one I enjoyed the most during my travels to NZ, as I have not come across a similar counterpart in Canada.
armando629 (428), Budapest, Hungary Sep 29, 2008 Nothing exciting in this beer. Simple ale character, nothing of flavor or aroma, but too moderated. Is this beer a mass producted thing? Kiwi_Jonno (52), Christchurch, New Zealand Sep 10, 2008 Well this beer isn’t even an ale, let alone an IPA! Anyway... pours a clear amber beer with a small white head. Faint aroma of caramel malt. Have just has a Lion Red, and this isn’t overly different. Still a sweet beer, slight tastes of malt with slightly more hops then a Lion Red. Very famous and funny "Yeah Right" slogan compain in NZ so bonus marks for that! DruncanVeasey (1720), No. 46, Leicestershire, Germany Aug 9, 2008 Bottle. EIPA?! Don’t make me laugh. Boiled sweet, caramel and almond aroma. Cherryish, metallic and watery. Fizz and emptiness. Like a pasteurised Brains SA. Really sick of beers like this. Appalling. Unholy_Brewing (311), Melbourne, Australia Aug 6, 2008 ...bottle. Easy drinking, smooth refreshing beer with low alcohol. It had a sweet slightly roasted malty flavor, no bitterness whatsoever. Sugary, caramel hints with a light body. Maybe a slight hint of flavoring hops, but that’s it. FInish was rather dry, watery and sweet. Not bad, but not what I was expecting. trannylegba (3), USA does not count May 10, 2008 Great EIPA. Only real complaint is low alcohol content makes it finish watery.
