Bottle 500ml. @ home.
Clear light to medium yellow amber color with a average, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, toffee notes, perfume, smoke - wood .- cigar, light to moderate alcohol - whisky. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20090828]

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Mild butterish and slight wooden dry aroma. Sweet malty flavoured with a distinct wooden touch. Not much whiskey flavours, but certainly wooden. Lasting sweet and malty finish. Lacks some depth to be really interesting.

A hazy orange beer with a beige head. The aroma is primarily of whiskey, but also with a light touch of smoke as well as lemon. The flavor is of whiskey and citrus, leading to a dry end. The body is thin - which surprises me at 7% ABV.

(Bottle 50 cl) Pours a clear, fully golden with a white head. Very distinct whisky aroma. Surprisingly light-bodied with lightly sweet malts and lovely smoked whisky accents and a touch of wood. Wauw - the ratings for this are really hit or miss. 210906

Bottled (thanks GarethYoung). Golden colour, not much head. Aroma is whisky barrells, oaky and wooden notes as well as quite sweet. Flavour is sweet woodenness, alcohol and quite boring.

Bottled. Pale brown, brief head. Fruity and alcoholi nose with wood and vanilla. Sweet and densely malty with lots of oaky whisky flavuor. Phenolic and fruity , vinous and warming. Low bitterness. Quite similar to the Innis & Gunn series, but more full of life.

Clear amber beer. Sweet malt nose with a whiff of whisky. Slightly dry palate. Sweet creamy malt with a trace of vanilla oak. The whisky comes through a little sour and with a trace of peat. Fresh and interesting. Mild orange hop at the end.

As Tullibardine 1488 Premium Whisky Beer
Golden color, beautiful. Few words to describe this fermentation mess, basically only with cabbage and other vegetables aroma and flavor (no smoke, no whisky, no malt, no hops; attenuated alcohol).
Terrible.

Well first off im not a whisky fan, but this is a real interesting beer, Its a nice golden amber colour, with a distictive whisky aroma, the flavour is of a half decent whisky thats been diluted just a touch too much, but diluted with a light fruity carmel malt ale. There no doubt in my mind i would have scored this wonderfully interestign ale higher if i enjoyed whiskey.
