Yet another addition to the 1488 range - designed to reflect the original character of the beer which was once produced at the brewery sited here. Tullibardine 1488 Ales are distinctive, their characteristic traits beautifully balanced by a depth and complexity so closely associated with Tullibardine Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky. This truly remarkable Ale is best drunk chilled, perhaps being chased by a dram of your favourite Tullibardine Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky.

Pours deep amber with a reddish hue like brandy. Great aroma Caramel, malty, very sweet, some wood and vanilla. Oak. it is very nice on the nose. Flavour is nice very nice malty, strong flavour. Very spicy and woody. Very malty, caramel flavours. This is a very nice beer. I love the Tullabardine scotch and now I must say I love their beer. It really tastes like tullabardine.

Surprised that this series of beers shows up in Canada and there is only 1 rating. 500ml bottle. Thin dark copper coloured with a mocerate off-white head. Sweet malt aroma, light hops and a hint of the barrel. Tastes like a bitter aged in peaty, oaky scotch barrels. Definate whisky notes. Could get accustomed to the woody flavour.

Bottle. Decent fruitiness, nuttiness, and some richness. Strikes me much more as a nut brown/whiskey hybrid than a bitter. Not nearly enough hop character to be well-baanced, or deserving of the Bitter title. Okay, but I doubt I would buy it again.

Botle 50 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours a clear golden with a rough off-white head. A little citrus and nuts in the nose. Rather light body, a little roasted malts, nuts and a whiff of smoke and ashes. Subdued bitterness. 090710

500ml bottle pours a golden orange color with a 2 finger white head that settles to leave some thin spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma is light grains and some flowery hops with some oak and hints of scotch whiskey. Taste is quite malty sweet with some oak and a moderate hoppy bitter finish. Light to medium body and nice carbonation. Recommended bitter style ale.

Bärnstensfärgad öl med lätt vitt skum. Doft av malt, lätt trä och alkohol(whiskey). Hyffsad beska på en annars ganska söt öl med antydan av trä och whiskey.

Reddish copper with foam a few bubbles thick. Aroma is toffee, barrels, whisky. Similar tastes, with a strong wood character leading to an unexpectedly tart finish. Quaffable at 4.5%. Pleasant beer, limited by the tartness. Infected?

Bla bla brown clear body with an ugly boring rocky cap. I’v once again been told what I’m smelling is Pete and some vanilla and chocolate. Smooth chocolaty taste with ash. So very thick feeling. Oak and tons of malt and more of that pete flavor keeps coming through. Meh good enough I guess.
