2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Poured from a 500 mL bottle. Pours clear light caramel. Head fades quickly with minimal lacing. Aroma is faint barley. Flavour is sweet bread-pudding up front with an overly sweet peaty aftertaste. I appreciate the attempt using scotch whiskey casks but this doesn't work.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
aroma is heavy alcoholic, hints of whisky, faint stoutlike in the back... warming liquid, sweet.... warming finish.... watery... very very blend... headless, clear, ugly... not a good beer, more like a failed experiment that someone had to bottle...
get’s better after a while though, after the wheat shines through and gives it a more bready body

2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle, 0.33. 7%. Bread and chocolate notes, the ambiguous sweetness of whisky. Scotch and soda might taste similar if not for a hint of hops - and yeast? Aniseed? medium body, slightly oily feel, soft carbonation. Finish is vaguely sweet. Below expectation, but still worth a (2nd) try.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cask at Jyske Øldage in Horsens, 2006. A hazy orange beer with a thin orange head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel and spices. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of spices, reminding me of a Belgian beer.

1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20
UPDATED: APR 7, 2008 STBF07. Aroma is nutty, appley sweetness, hints of sweet alcohol. Taste has no whiskey, sweet, nutty, dry, no finish here at all apart from a dry alcohol burn. RERATE: Cask in the crystal palace. I gave this a 0.5 however the previous score was 2 so balancing it out. Aroma is nutty, sour and ethanol. Taste is similar the sour malt and nuttysweetness are possibly the most off putting flavours iv ever had in beer. Whiskey in the finiosh just comepletly finishes you off, i nearly spat it out. Utterly disgusting stuff, this is thee worst beer iv ever tasted ever ever ever.
