Dorwart (1593), Robbinsville, New Jersey, USA May 14, 2008 My man etowneraser hooked me up with a growler of this stuff. Thin sloppy head of varying sized bubbles. Nice malty aroma with some caramel, spices and a bit of toasted grans. Color is a nice mahagony red. Flavor is primariy malt again with some cinnamon, caramel and bready malts. I woud not call this a belgian strong ale. Maybe a belgian ale but is lacking the yeast notes and it needs a higher alcohol content. Finishes malty a and bready with a lingering dry pasty spiceness. A decent brew. jcwattsrugger (3757), Florida and, New Jersey, USA May 10, 2008 on tap-pours a copper color with no head. Aroma is sweet light/medium malt, herbal/spicy-cinnamon, secondary roasty/nutty with slight sharpness.
