Rastacouere (5201), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Oct 28, 2007 Quite a sparkle feeds this clear and bright golden ale. Lasting, healthy white foam. Cerealic and rather crisp nose despite the kind of sloppy graininess and softest leafy aspects. The hops quickly die in mouth where it’s a bready and cerealic dominance accompanied by a most consistent tartness. The ensemble feels sweet and could certainly make good usage of more than its 8(seriously) IBUs. Dogbrick (2165), Columbus, Ohio, USA May 10, 2007 Updated: Oct 11, 2007Sample at the brew pub: Clear bubbly gold color with a nil white head that is gone almost instantly. No lacing of which to speak. Lightly hopped aroma that is a little grassy. Light bubbly body with mild hops and malt flavor. Just a hint of citrus too. The finish is refreshing but ulitimately not very flavorful. There is a light hops aftertaste that doesn’t linger long. Par for the course with what one would expect in a Light beer in a brew pub attached to a hotel. keepersj12 (382), Sicklerville, New Jersey, USA Apr 7, 2007 A good pale ale. Nothing special. Just a good working man’s beer. Try it with some hot wings. Prcaus (159), New Jersey, USA Feb 27, 2007 Straight from tap at the Tavern itself. Golden color, nice crisp taste for a light beer. Very drinkable, but i would see it as a warm day outdoor beer as it was very watery for my liking. Still worth the experience at the Tavern. Jayb0 (685), Cherry Hill, New Jersey, USA Dec 29, 2006 I tried several beers here on my first visit and was pleased at how distinct each beer was. They try hard to be true to style and for the most part succeed. I like this take on light beer, more a name than an attempt at a true light. You end up with a slightly lower alcohol ale that still manages some decent flavor and drinkability.
