Bottle. Pours reddish brown with a beige head. Nutty and toasted malts, lighter earthy notes, and a hint of sweet chocolate. A very solid brown ale, for sure.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tap @ Pony w Andy James. Serious dark brown pour with off-white head, looks great. Aroma is light nut, palate is thin with nuts and a bit of light sweet spice. Very drinkable and not overly nutty/chalky like a lot of browns. Good take on a difficult style. Look forward to more from them.

1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Bottle from Grand Army Plaza greenmarket. Wanted this to be great, being local and from the farmer’s market; all ingredients are grown by the brewer himself! Sadly, very little flavor; slight hint of molasses and a bothersome metallic note. Thin mouthfeel. Oh, well, give these guys time; they’re just starting out.
