Commercial Description:
Cask & Bottle Conditioned; Regular.
A dark golden session bitter with a mouth-watering fruity nose. It starts soft and fruity on the palate. It soon gains a solid, slightly perfumed hop edge. The finish is beautifully dry and bitter. A beautiful beer for hop heads!

Thx for a grand tasting, Chris_o :) Cloudy amber, big head, flowery notes, fruit, grapefruit, hops, little bitter and winnig towards the end, pretty lifeless.

A Mes rate: Bottle at Chris O’s laid back Friday night tasting.
Cloudy mid gold with a thin white head. Lovely floral, bitter and aromatic hoppy aroma with faint notes of lemon and berries. The flavour is excellent. Full of glorious hoppage. Lovely background bready malt which gives it an excellent balance and the fruit is glorious. A superb thirst quenching beer with a really good dry and bitter finish. Very good prickly mouthfeel with just the right amount of carb. Jolly good stuff.

Bottle from Walgrave Asda, Coventry. Murky orange pour with a creamy blanket of suds. Aromas of citrus, soil, a dab of vinegar and earthy hops. A bit damp as always. Bitter grapefruit and mandarin fruitiness with some biscuity malt lurking way back in the mix. Not a million miles from Linda Lear. Potently hopped, uncomplicated bitter that more than held its own against a fiery Madras (Cask re-rate, bottled rating 3.2) The Lord Nelson, Ansley. Clear bronze pint draped with lace. Aroma sulphurous, with a definite wring of dank soapy dishcloth and fibrously hoppy notes as it warms. Punchy Cascade hopping mellowed with biscuity malt, oats and delicate chocolate.

Bottle from the Dodgi’ Deli’ Cowley Road, Oxford, 18-10-07 This poured a dark golden but was very hazy and with white head, aroma seemed a little sour, not what was expecting, certainly not ’perfumed hops’ as the label stated. First taste very sour, in fact this bottle seemed tainted it was awful, I tried another sip but really couldn’t take to this at all, I will seek this out again as from the other reviews it seems a good beer.

Bottle. Golden brown with a small head. Aromas are sweet malts with bitter grapefruit. Quite floral with melon. A bit damp. Flavours are citrus, especially bitter grapefruit. Zesty, hoppy and yeasty. A decent fruity bitter.
