Solid bitterness in the flavour with a classic English hops flavour into a light herbal and spiced touch. Lingering fruity and bitter into the finish with a persisting spice note. oh6gdx (5857), Vaasa, Finland Aug 4, 2008 Bottled. Orange colour, small white head. Aroma is apricot, citrus, paper and some grapefruity notes. Flavour is paper, grapefruits, some other sour citrusy notes as well as some earthyness. chris_o (4405), London, Greater London, England Sep 30, 2005 Cask (gravity dispense), St Albans Beer Festival 2005. Copper coloured with a scant white head. I’d hardly call it a hop-head beer, but there is plenty of dusty, tangy British-style hop on show. Some light biscuity malt and subtle fruit around as well. Not a beer that shouts out at you, but a nicely balanced, quite classy little number.
Mes_and_Sim (4320), Highgate, Greater London, England Jun 8, 2008 A Mes rate: Bottle at Chris O’s laid back Friday night tasting. Cloudy mid gold with a thin white head. Lovely floral, bitter and aromatic hoppy aroma with faint notes of lemon and berries. The flavour is excellent. Full of glorious hoppage. Lovely background bready malt which gives it an excellent balance and the fruit is glorious. A superb thirst quenching beer with a really good dry and bitter finish. Very good prickly mouthfeel with just the right amount of carb. Jolly good stuff.
