Ungstrup (11338), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 31, 2008 Bottled. A light golden beer with a thin whtie head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of raspberries. The flavor is acidic malty with notes of fruit and straw as well as a light note of raspberries. Thanks fonefan and Brugmansia for sharing. yngwie (3602), Kristiansand, Norway Aug 30, 2008 Bottle, thx to fonefan. Pours a clear, yellow body under a minimal white head. Quite weak nose with a sourish aroma running the show. Dusty, citrusy aromas in the background. The flavor is citrusy sour, but not as sour as the aroma suggests. Some bitterness, especially in the finish. Quite fruity too, in the finish. Medium body. A really boring beer, surely going bad, but it is refreshing in a way. (080822) leaparsons (3963), Leicester, Leicestershire, England Aug 26, 2008 Bottle. Golden with a large pillow of off white foam. Aromas are wheat, caramel and spices with soft citrus. Yeasty and fresh. Flavours are sweet biscuit malts and lemon with meringue. Has a soft dry fruity finish. A Tunnel beer that isn’t tainted! yespr (6889), Copenhagen O, Denmark Aug 24, 2008 50 cL bottle. Pours slight cloudy pale yellow with a fizzy white head. Mild barnyard aroma, slight wheaty and spiced. Mild citric flavour and mild fruity to floral following. Lingering citric and light brett-ish finish. Infected once again, yet with mild notes of what it could have been. DruncanVeasey (1720), No. 46, Leicestershire, Germany Apr 4, 2008 Cask, The Lord Nelson, Ansley (brewed out back). Pale lacy gold with a big gust of sulphur and delicate lemony hops on the nose. Mellow soapy citrus, straw and biscuit. Peters out with a bit of a watery finish lacking Tunnel’s signature spikiness. Reminded me of Marston’s Sunbright. OK, but didn’t beg a resampling.
