This Dark Stout is brewed in the traditional manner using only the finest quality ingredients. It starts with chocolate and roasted coffee on the tongue, developing through slight fruit into a dry, mellow, bitter finish

Chris_o’s GBBF Shindig 08. Soft and stouty and infected. Tunnel have a serious problem with their bottling. Every Tunnel beer at the tasting was bad. If these were served in a pub they’d be taken back. Default score - but should really be marked down.

A Mes rate: bottle at Chris O’s Pre GBBF Tasting.
Almost black with a diminishing tan head. Reasonably tasty stuff, nicely roasted, plenty of coffee and chocolate.Fruity finish with slight bitterness. Typical Tunnel strangeness. Ok, not amazing.

Bottled. Deep brown colour, small brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, mild wood, some sourness as well as dark dry fruityness. Flavour is petty much the same along with some caramel and sour coffee notes.

Pitch pour with a short-lived yellowish collar. Ash and chewy dark fruit on the nose. Sourish and charred. Smoke and blackcurrant. Creamy, roasty but oddly acetic stout.

Bottle. Very dark brown with a beige foam. Aromas are light roast coffee with smoky notes. Some caramel with blackcurrant sourness. Flavours are smooth light roast coffee with milk chocolate. Some citrus and berry fruitiness with smoky and metallic notes on the finish. Very nice.

Bottle. Black and slightly roasted flavour. Smooth with some smokiness. certainly the best I have tried from this brewer. File under easy to drink stouts.

Cask@Pigs Ear BF 06. A slightly acidic stout, with some decent roastyness and slight smokeynes in the finish. Not bad, but perhaps a bit thin. Flavours seems to last a while however.

Very dark brown, no head. Slight cocoa and ash aroma. Very sweet malty taste with chocolate powder and a little bitterness. Mildish stout. Not a lot of impact.
