EBF2008. As Kimitoöns Vikinga Mørktøl III. Thanks to?? It’s dark, red-brown and the aroma has notes of caramel, candy sugar, butterscotch and biscuits. The flavour has sweetness and a light sourness and notes of caramel, candy sugar, toffee and a little butter. I think an infection is developing, but otherwise it’s OK.

Sampled from a bottle at the rating table in the food tent at EBF 08 – thanks to oh6gdx for providing the bottle. Clear amber coloured body. Weak smell of sweet malts. A bit strange taste of sour grass and a slight note of vinegar. Some bitterness comes through in the ending (13.09.2008).

Sampled from a bottle@EBF 2008 as Kimitoöns Vikinga Mörkt III Öl. Pale amber, minimal offwhite head. Acidic-sweet fruitiness and butterscotch to the nose. Acidulous malt taste. Some fruit notes. Dry powdery mouthfeel. Skinny body. Acidulous finish. Strange brew.

Had this at European Beer Festival, Kobenhaven Denmark. I think I’ve got the right beer? I had this down as Kimitoon Vikinga Pours very clean amber, soft malty aroma. Simple easy swigging beer, a tiny sour tinge on the end its ok.

Sample from bottle as Kimitoöns Vikinga Nr III Öl at EBF 2008. Nose was caramel with a butterscotch hint on top. Mid brown colour. Not very flavoursome and rather slick, this was almost certainly infected.
