Tuorlan Parooni

(Draught at Puutorin Vessa on 2008-08-29) Golden. Clear. Medium sized small white head that disappeared quickly. Sweet lightly fruity nose. Dry light palate with lot of carbonation. Malts, bitterness and home brewed beer in taste.

Tap at Black Door, Helsinki (Original rate 4/3/3/2/6:1.8). Pale golden, small whitish head. Sour diacetyl nose. Flavor is citric acidic with a hint of thin maltiness and slightly funky buttery backbone. Horrible. Maybe gone bad? Bottle 0,33 l bought on same day from brewery. Golden with quickly fading white head. Nose is malty, spicy, some hops. No traces of diacetyl or really subtle. Flavor is malty, aromatic, flowery and a little spicy. Some citric acidity, but very subdued. Not bitter. Not even close to disastrous tap version. Soft carb, goes flat very quickly.

Bottled. A hazy golden beer with a thin orange head. Both the aroma and flavor are sweet malty with a light note of grapefruit.

0.5 l bottle. Amber color with weak head. Caramelly, worty and fruity aroma with quite a bit fruity esters. Malty, sweetish, caramelly and toffeish flavor with some herbal hops. Low carbonation.

Golden colored, slightly cloudy appearance. Buttery aroma with sweet honey touch, some cardboard also there. Thin to medium bodied. Flavor is also unclean with cardboard and butter, some lemony fruits there also. Cardboard also in aftertaste, maybe not at it’s best anymore...
