golubj (1275), Sunnyvale, California, USA Feb 14, 2007 Bottle. Nice hop aroma. Flavor has some complexity with some malt and citrus, maybe grapefruit, upfront and some bittering hops in the finish. It’s a little bit dry for an ale also. Pretty good. spector (906), Lancaster, Ohio, USA Feb 14, 2007 Good amount of hops in the aroma on this one.Pours a hazy copper with a medium off white head.Hops are there but balanced pretty well with the malts.Thin to medium mouthfeel with a nice hop finish. tcfishler (65), USA Jan 30, 2007 Cloudy orange/honey/amber with a fair head.
Exuberant aromas are piney-hoppy yet sweet/rich in their own way.
Lots of carbonation in the mouth, with decent intensity/persistence of hoppy flavors without excessive bitterness.
A good hoppy brew that doesn’t dry the palate. wickedpete (625), Lexington Park, Maryland, USA Jan 29, 2007 Not bad, but not outstanding either. The bitterness is present all the way through, and has a slight metallic twinge to it. It’s fairly refreshing and it’s a nice departure from the same old staples of the category. alexanderj (2212), Chino Hills, California, USA Jan 28, 2007 Probably the best beer that is available at a Walmart; atleast in my area. A light orange/bronze, average size white head. Aroma was of citrus hops and some malt. Flavor of caramel malt and hops. A little sweet, with some citrus. Easy drinking, but still had a decently complex taste. AR (417), Georgia, USA Jan 22, 2007 Light orange color with a small head. Nice citus - hoppy flavor with a bitter aftertaste. LinusStick (1830), Moon Twp, suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 14, 2007 A beautiful American pale! I have battling myself in an IPA/APA battle and beers like this tip the scale! Beautiful hazy orange with a white thin head with minimal lacing. The aroma was a sweet malty/hop blend. The taste was sweet malt in the beginning and the hops take over at the end and don’t let go. Great beer! IrishBoy (2685), Bakersfield, California, USA Dec 18, 2006 Updated: Dec 19, 2006Bottle from Beer Hawk; Thanks Joey!; Nose of citrusyhops with some caramel; a more balanced nose than most pale ales; slightly hazy amber with a tiny off-white head; dlavor of lemony hop bitterness mixed with caramel in the medium body; the bitterness lasting well into the finish.
