May 22, 2005 Hazy amber, low creamy head. Clean floral hop aroma, hints of butterscotch. Hoppy and flowery flavour, notes of resin and apricot. Clean, hard mouthfeel. Hop bitter finish.

May 20, 2005 A light, fine head, plenty of hop lace, clear light amber color, and intense Pacific NW hop aroma set up high expectations. Citrus peel and spruce-like hop flavors overwhelm the palate, while the clean pale malt barely registers (I drank this at about 50 F). Old Dominion itself brews a better APA (New River), whereas Victory (Hop Devil) and Dogfish (60 Minute) arguably brew even better ones.

May 14, 2005 Couleur ambrée, parsemée d’une très faible mousse blanche. Arômes de beurre, de fleurs et de miel. Beau malt biscuit laisse une place raisonnable aux flaveurs de zeste de citron et de résine de conifère. Corps d’épaisseur semi mince à moyenne. Carbonatation très active et piquante rappelant l’eau minérale en bouche.

May 12, 2005 Buttered apricots, honey and biscuity, bready malts in the mineral aroma with a light citrus hop note. Hazy, golden-tan with a partial cover and ring of white head. Fair bitterness with some spicy, floral, pine-like, grapefruit hop flavour and biscuity, bready malts. Moderate crisp carbonation. Medium body is dry and well-attenuated. Bottle (trade, Feb. 2005) enjoyed with MartinT, Olivier_MTL and Rastacouere. Thanks, hopscotch!

May 10, 2005 Pours a clear gold with a frothy cream colored head that dissipates quickly but leaves alot of lace. Aroma is sweet and citrusy hops.
Taste is bitingly bitter. Some light citrus flavors as well but this beer is just a showcase for the cascades. Grapefruit evident and a dry finish. Mouth is crisp witha alingering bitternes on the tongue.
A great session beer IMO. Damn smooth for such a hoppy brew. One of my staples.

May 3, 2005 On tap at the Federal in Durham, North Carolina. Deep orange color. Hoppy and bitter aroma. Flavor is reminiscent of an IPA but maybe not that extreme. Very refreshing.

Apr 30, 2005 Alefest ’05 - Solid entry in this style. Good flowery bitterness from the hops. Close to a IPA in IBU’s.
