swirl (267), collingswood, New Jersey, USA Mar 25, 2005 Strong hop flavor automatically assails the back of the tongue. Definately not for the weak of palate. Light caramel appearance with a lemon/citrus scent. valejo (81), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA Mar 23, 2005 This beer is what I want in a beer I drink daily. It’s hoppy but with some other interesting tastes going on, setting it apart from an IPA. Damn fine brew. entertheiceman (242), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Mar 23, 2005 Extremely drinkable but mild mannered. Looks like cloudy apple juice and it’s even a little fruity tasting with hops thrown in. The mouthfeel is even similiar to carbonated apple juice. A little bitter on the finish but not much in my opinion. Overall just an incredibly drinkable ale thats a little more friendly than I like my beer to be. flemdawg (485), Naples, Florida, USA Mar 23, 2005 Thanks to JSquire for this one at his house. Golden color with a lagre bubbled white head. Floral hops with a carmely malt balance. Bitter, floral hops taste with sweet malts to balance the flavors out. There were some hints of oak and a lingering bitter finish. The liquid clings to the mouth for a while after drinking. Very pleasant indeed. mephisto (1144), Taiwan Mar 21, 2005 a nice beer from virginia, w/ malty aroma and is very hoppy. it has a slightly bitter aftertaste. can8ianben (903), Pasadena, California, USA Mar 16, 2005 As the name would suggest, it is hoppy. I really enjoyed the initial taste, lots going on! I need to give it another chance to show me more. Wakie (612), Centreville, Virginia, USA Mar 16, 2005 A nice APA. Aroma of fragrant hops with just a touch of grapefruit coming out of it. The taste was an interesting blend of those flavors. As a rule I’m not a fan of pale ales but this one wasn’t too shabby. blank (998), Washington, Washington DC, USA Mar 16, 2005 RDF tasting with Bob Tupper Himself: A bit on the Orange side. All hops, but still on the thin side with a hint of malt. Not much, granted, and this beer does like it;s hops.
