Strong pine hop aroma with tons of caramel and toffee in the background. Flavor just the opposite, caramel and toffee up front with a nice pine hop finish. No one aspect of this beer grabs you, but finding it hard to put done. Might be a decent crossover beer. chriso (4776), London, Greater London, England
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 26, 2004 Golden colour. The aroma had floral hops, but was more restrained than I expected. The flavour has a very pronounced pine and resin hop character. Distinctly bitter. Not the most complex beer, but the bold hopping produces a crisp, fresh and very drinkable ale. On tap at the Dominion brewery.

Decent caramel flavor tempered by spicy hop flavor and a moderately bitter bite. Could use some added body. r464 (285), Allentown, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 13, 2004 Amber/orange in color with a small head. Aroma is like orange zest, hops, and dirt. Flavor reminds me of a bitter, though not as much punch. Hoppy bitterness lingers, and the alcohol is concealed. Not bad at all. Frank (1066), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 4, 2004 Cloudy orange with only a small head of foam. Nose is nice with a bit of toffee with a floral, almost noble hop character. Definitely a bit tart with an earthy, citrus rind presence. Gently carbonated and medium bodied. A lingering medicinal sits on the tongue once the beer is swallowed. A good beer but a bit disappointing. meathookjones (245), Sterling, Virginia, USA

This one came looking a light amber color with a decent frothy white head that had pretty good retention. The aroma is of hops mainly floral and citrus with some malt to be had as well, very balanced nose on this one. The flavor starts off with an earthy hop feel before giving way to slight bread malt taste. Finish is dry with the usually hoppy bitterness that comes with the style. Mouthfeel is medium and this brew is highly drinkable. It did a pretty good job cooling the flames from the hot wings I ate with it. Definitely one beer worth giving a shot if you come across it. maltdog (514), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA

Nose of fruity hops, gruyere cheese, and cheerios. Crisp and sweet fruity hop flavor of pineapple, orange, and mint. Doughy malt in the background. Nicely balanced bitterness and a sharp juicy hop aftertaste. Smooth, satiny palate. Beer definitely showcases the hops, so fruity that they seem sweet. Lacks complexity but addictively tasty nonetheless. rudolf (1758), Buffalo, New York, USA
