I have seen it a few times but this was my first chance to try some. As luck would have it this beer was on the cask engine. It poured an orange-amber color with a small creamy white head that lingered for quite a while and produced some lacing. The aroma is sweet, flowery and hoppy. The flavor is sweet with a strong hop presence. The hops are strong but not overwhelming. The sweetness balances the hop bitterness quite nicely and the malts come on lightly on the finish. Now I just have to manage to get a hold of the bottle and regular draft. SpringsLicker (2042), Tennessee, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 22, 2004 This pours a pretty copper colored beer with a bit of chill haze and a creamy head that could have lasted a little longer.
It has a wonderful citrus hop aroma with a good malt background.
The flavor is somewhat sweet with all of the bitterness saved for the finish. Dry palate with good body. This needed just a bit more hop flavor to match up with the hop aroma.

IT seems really similair to the New River though...? The only difference I would say would have to be that the New River is much creamier and not as Cascadey in the end...but all in all a good beer. Pours a golden hue...slightly toasted...excellent. Smells florally and wondeerful, hints of pine needles, sharp cheddar and hop vines. Flavors reflect this minus the pine...good brew

Nice underlying malt flavor with heavy hopping on top. Smooth with a clean finish.

Aroma is citrusy/spicy hops with a fair bit of malt. Flavor is of citrusy/spicy hops, sweet malt, and a bit of caramel. Nice hoppy APA. bkelley68 (467), Lakewood, Ohio, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 3, 2004 Orangey pour with a soapy head. Piney hops in the nose. Decent balance of malty flavors and citrus/pine hop flavors. Not quite as bitter as I was hoping. Hop flavors were nice, but not very crisp. Good, but not great.
