Great aroma...flowery. Amazing flavor, great hops bitterness... Nice Brussel's Lace. If I had to drink only one type of beer for the rest of my life...this would be it.

Cheers to The beer god for this bottle! Clear orangey yellow body, diminishing to 1cm sticky off-white head. Aroma is pure citrus cascade with orange and lemon slice notes and even a mild earthy hint. Initially, it proposes a slice of maple syrup, but quickly, hops take the lead. Compared to the pils, this is obviously a lot more bitter, very very hoppy in fact, more than expected from an east coast APA. Powerful citrus/cascade finish, grapefruity long dry aftertaste. While it displayed pretty above average carbonation, but seems just adequate in a mouthfeel perspective, rather thin bodied. Well made overall, rather flowery on top of the abundant grapefruit, but no threat for my favorite (Burning River)
I can only lower my score from 3.5 to 3.2 after another sampling. Last bottle which was 5 months old was soapy, consisting mostly of vegetal hops. Taste was crisp, but buttery with strong apricot, algae, perfume suggestions, but I didn’t dig any special artifacts..

Possibly the best APA out there...amazingly hoppy yet definitely not an IPA. Soft but assertive nose and tons of malts to fall back on. Lasting soapy head. Incredible multi-dimensional grain + muted citrusy hop aroma. Seek this one out!

Mild smelling floral hops, good malt flavor and nice robust color. Too grapefruity, though. Sometimes I doubt I will ever learn to enjoy hop-based beers. Had at RB Philly gathering February 2004.

Poured a light copper color with a medium white bubbly head. Grassy hop aroma. Nice bitter hops balanced by a sweet malty finish. Very nice.

Appearance: Nice medium amber color with a small head. Smell: Very hoppy in the nose. Nice. Tastes like hops on top of coffee. It's an interesting beer, but not really great. I'd drink this beer again, but only if the bar didn't offer anything better...

(Bottle) Pours a golden color with a thick creamy head. Have a grapefruit aroma and a light mouth feel. Flavors of hops and grapefruit.

Oarnge/gold with a bottle conditioned, creamy head. Sticky sheets of lace. Nice aroma of earthy, citric hops. Some caramel, and maybe German malts in the aroma as well. Fizzy, but full palate. Medium body, with more than enough malts. Starts malty, and cascades. Fairly rich, malt flavors...toffee,bread. Malts continue into the finish and are met with lots of leafy hops. Just as delicious as the first bottle,I remeber Jeff splitting with me almost 4yrs ago. A favorite, for sure! THanks Kinz
