elsberry (87), North Carolina, USA Jan 10, 2004 A pale golden pour, with a nice creamy head. Aroma of malt and grapefruit. Light mouthfeel, with rather high carbonation. Slight caramel taste, but not much. Mild malt taste, with a nice bitter cascade hops bite. refreshing. Braudog (3733), Dayton, Ohio, USA Jan 1, 2004 Updated: Jul 18, 2007Light yellow-orange with a great head. Excellent hop character and body. Simply put, this beer rocks. groovinhigh (170), Asheville, North Carolina, USA Dec 29, 2003 Eh.... Good, not great Pale. Mt. Hood hops dominate the palate with a slight Cascade touch. Nice, complex hop character, though I'd prefer Cascade... Wiseblood (658), Clarksville, Tennessee, USA Dec 29, 2003 Deep orange color with a thick creamy head and a huge hop nose. Starts off malty and chewy with impressive caramel notes and a full body. The bitterness slowly takes over and combines with piney, peppery, and slightly floral notes into a huge lingering bitter hop buzz in the finish. It's not really an oppressive bitterness though, unless you're not a big fan of hops. There is some citrus flavor, but all that bitterness overload is a hop lover's dream. beerguy101 (3861), Newark, California, USA Dec 22, 2003 Light orange color. Large white foamy head. Aroma is malty and a little spicy. A medium bodied American Pale Ale. Malts are fruity and sweet. Hops are grapefruity and floral. Big juicy hop flavors are balanced nicely by the malt sweetness. It’s not an over-the-top Pale ale, but it’s sitting on the fence waiting to leap at you. A very definite hop bite at the finish. A nice very drinkable APA. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean, crisp and dry. Aftertaste is bitter. whaleman (2171), North Wales, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 22, 2003 Clear copper body and loose sudsy white head. Dusty spice and malt aroma. Flavor and body have a nice spicy crispness. Elegant dry hopped flavor becomes nicely cinnamony as it builds. Very unassuming but definitely enjoyable.
merchasd (3), USA does not count Dec 22, 2003 Good when served on tap. Hazy like many micros, but strong hop aroma and good head. Overall very tasty IPFreely (1470), Lewiston, New York, USA Dec 17, 2003 Hazy copper color, moderate creamy head. Up front hop aroma. Flavor was also quite hoppy with a tyouch of malt.
