rickgordon (3285), Göteborg, Sweden Sep 23, 2003 Sampled draught at Oliver Twist, Stockholm.
Amber, no head. Sweetish, fruity and candysugary aroma. Rich hoppy flavour, very bitter with notes of elder - and marshmallows. Really bitter finish. Why such supercommercial label? larsniclas (3383), Gothenburg, Sweden Sep 22, 2003 Sample draught at Oliver Twist, Stockholm 2003.
Amber colour.
Aroma from citrus and malt.
Fresh and lively with a papery palate.
A lot of bitterness with some hop and toffee. pilsnerrogge (1770), Finspång, Sweden Sep 22, 2003 Amber coloured with a nice head. Usually I enjoy hoppy beer but this one was just thin and soapy, need more body. rlgk (3377), Vårgårda, Sweden Sep 21, 2003 A golden, somewhat hazy beer. Aroma is really fresk from citrus. Flavor is citrus as well, combined with some elder. wnp22 (682), Toronto (Roncesvalles Village), Ontario, Canada Aug 26, 2003 Updated: Aug 28, 2003Tasted in DC from Cairo. Rusty, orange colour, clear little or no head. Scent is biterness personified. Intensely floral and bitter taste. Aftertaste is a bit harsh. Interesting. Libeerian (209), Garner, North Carolina, USA Aug 17, 2003 Tuppers has a big hop aroma and a clean bold hop bitterness with a subtle malt backup. The finish is one of lingering hop bitterness. jskendzel (602), Washington DC, USA Aug 12, 2003 Rich, earthy hoppiness and a decent body to balance. Piney, resinous hop character but very easily drinkable. A good example of the style, perhaps a tad richer than some APAs. Dorwart (1807), Robbinsville, New Jersey, USA Aug 9, 2003 Wow. Big hops aroma. Floral but not too perfumy. Ok head with decent carbonation. Slightly murky orange in color. Flavor is dominated by hops also. Little resiny in the aroma and flavor. Finish is bitter and dry. A little to sourly-bitter for me though. This beer will be a big hit with hop and bitter lovers.
