Go figure. geronimorex (8), Alexandria, Virginia, USA does not count | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 18, 2007 Looks good, but the taste doesn’t match up with the appearance. Pours copper with a thin head that doesn’t last long. A medium-strong hops flavor, but not much else. maybe pine, a little nutty, but not in a good way. Better than generic American beer, but not up to my expectations. emacgee (1864), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | May 16, 2007 Poured a thick amber with a medium thin, creamy, offwhite head. The aroma was noticeably sweet, hop bitterness to it, citrus and pine. The flavor was a little bitter, showed some sweet malts, had a good balance. It kept the hop bitterness well below offensive. The palate was a bit thin and the finish was waxy and left a resilient hop taste at the back of my mouth. Derek881 (493), Frederick, Maryland, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 15, 2007 I poured this from the bottle into a pint glass to enjoy. Immediately noticed the big hops aroma with some floral and grassy notes, maybe some pine. Also a bit of fruity tones, and roasty malt. The beer was a somewhat dark amber color, was semi-cloudy, and had a very small bubbly white head, that quickly dissipated. The taste was pleasantly bitter, with even sweetness throughout. Texture was wet, full, and smooth with low carbonation and a dry after taste and finish. Heavily hopped beers are not my favorite, but this one was pretty good. izzy (10), Richmond, Virginia, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 22, 2007 Clear amber and quickly dissipating light head. Quite hoppy and sweet, more akin to a decent pilsner. MrBendo (1042), Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 14, 2007 Pours clear amber/orange with a medium head. Light aroma is a lot like a pilsner; sweet, pale malts and bitter grassy hops. Taste was slightly heavier on caramel malts with a flowery and spicy hop character. Light body. Bitter finish. Easy drinking, but it doesn’t draw you back for another. mhelgason (495), Charlotte, North Carolina, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 11, 2007 Bottle. Small white head (fully dissapating). Cloudy amber colored body with tiny particles floating. Aromas of flowery hops and some resin. Some light caramel notes are also present. Flavor is initially lightly bitter and finishes pretty much the same-maybe slightly more bitterness in the finish. The duration of the finish is average to long. Light to medium bodied. Dry textured. Soft carbonation. Well balanced but I would have rated higher if had more flavor.
