Very nice and sweet aroma with flowery hops and perhaps elderberries. Initial flavour is slightly sweet, followed by a flowery sensation and a long, dry bitter finish. A very nice ale, although I am not entirely into this particular hoppy bitterness. CheersMate1 (869), Atlanta, Georgia, USA

I smell some sweet, but it is not anything that I would actually be able to determine. The beer is a nice amber/orange color. The head quickly fades away leaving all the goodness behind. A wonderful malt mouthwell. Decently smooth, but nothing to write home about. A good beer, but lacks the slight sweet, that I love in I.P.As but in this case an A.P.A. Love the extreme hoppy FLAVOR. This beer is loaded with hops and just allows you to sit bank and enjoy we beer drinkers know as hops. jzzbassman (857), New Albany, Mississippi, USA

This pours an ambery color with a slight white head which dissipated quickly but left a lot of lacing on my glass throughout. The aroma is malty with caramel, apples, citrus and pears to balance it out. The flavor is hoppy but surprisingly well balanced given the malt used in this beer. The finish is dry and bitter..in fact just a little too bitter for my liking and the only reason it isnt ranked higher. Nice mouthfeel, sort of refreshing, but damn that overwhelming sticky bitterness. kimcgolf (835), Dacula, Georgia, USA

Very hoppy aroma and taste. The hops were much too dominant, especially since I was having with a spicy meal, after a couple other beers, and still came thru strong. inish was also more sour than I expected Okay, but I was somewhat dissappointed in this one. unclemike (833), Ft. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 5, 2009 Pours with a large off-white head on a clear deep orange body. Strong aroma of citric hops with deeper undertones of earthy malts. Some orange hops too. Strong hoppy flavor with a sweet finish that abruptly changes to bitter. Good strong body Cybercat (831), Georgia, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Sep 9, 2007 Pours an orangy amber with a fairly thick head. Aroma is strong and malty with a hint of saltiness. Flavor is malty, with strong hop bitterness that is unpleasant and biting rather than stimulating. It has a rather strong alcohol edge even though it is only 12 proof. Maybe I got a bottle from a bum batch; I will have to try this again. beaconstreet (811), Washington DC, USA
