Very nice golden amber pour in the glass. Nose and taste is rich hops, honey, herbs and bitter. Rated 12/20/2000

Loads of hops. I had this
instead of dessert after a big
meal - not because its sweet
(which its not) but because the
intense hopping seems to actually
settle the stomach. Better than
a hop tea for its herbal properties.

6/03 - at Goombay's, on the beach road, OBX. Lunch - "Can I see the beer list?" - ooh, not bad - Oh, Tupper's Hop Pocket? - "I'll take 2 please" "No, just one glass.." Sweet and sharp hops up front, nice big malt presence. Aroma is floral, hoppy and grainy. The nice long finish makes me crave more. "Waitress, where could we buy more of this?" "At the Exxon Stop'n'Shop down the road" Oh Yeah - give her a nice big tip for that tip! A fantastic IPA.

I may be rating this a little high but I'm a hophead, and this beer is a hopehead's dream come true. Orangish color, moderate to low head. Flavor is a hop explosion somewhere along the lines of Stone Ruination. It has a nice citrusy flavor. Excellent beer.

I love hoppy beers and this defintitely fits the bill. The hops are so strong you’ll swear you can smell them with the cap on, If you love hops this is the beer for you. Great amber color. If your ever in the D.C. area stop by the Old Dominion Brewing Co. and taste on tap!!

A beautiful American pale! I have battling myself in an IPA/APA battle and beers like this tip the scale! Beautiful hazy orange with a white thin head with minimal lacing. The aroma was a sweet malty/hop blend. The taste was sweet malt in the beginning and the hops take over at the end and don’t let go. Great beer!

Doughy, buttery, wheat, and pineapple nose. Dark copper pour with a medium yellow head. Quite complex flavor pine needles, orange, caramel, and walnuts. Marigold finish.
Much better than I remember from before rating. The quality has either improved or I’ve developed a much more appreciative palate.
