argo0 (6231), Washington DC, USA Feb 7, 2002 Updated: Jun 9, 2003 (retasted 5/30/03): Tried it again last weekend, and my opinion remains the same -- this is a damned impressive beer. Floral and citrus hops are well balanced by the moderate sweetness. Medium body. This beer is incredibly drinkable.
WeeHeavySD (1871), San Diego (Hillcrest), California, USA Oct 9, 2008 12oz probably over cellared and a bonus. Seemingly low fill. Pours light amber with a tan head. Nose is full of muted hops matched with the taste. I’m guessing this would be much better far fresher. AllAboutStout (529), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Aug 8, 2008 Pours a light gold in color. Nice frothy head on the pour, but is quickly gone by the time I sit down with it. Plenty of sediment and "floaties" in this clear beer. Smell is reserved hops. Taste is the same. Really smooth and easy drinking. Pretty highly hopped for being just a APA. Decent beer. DarkBeer (47), Ohio, USA Aug 6, 2008 Lovely. Hoppy aroma, hoppy flavor ... and all balanced nicely with the malts. Superior to Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, I think, because it is more assertive. A memorable ale, and one I’ll be drinking more often. Optigon (557), Bloomington, Indiana, USA Aug 3, 2008 Pours amber with a fine, white head. Aroma is rather hoppy with a moderate mouth feel and a solid hop flavor. RONCOD (77), Pennsylvania, USA Jun 12, 2008 Cloudy amber color with no head on it. It had a slight caramel aroma to it. More hops flavor than I like.
