Braudog (3463), Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates Jan 1, 2004 Light orange with nice creamy head. Highly hopped but primarily malt character with an excellent citric edge along the lines of Czech pilsners. I like this. jgb9348 (1849), Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA Mar 13, 2003 Where do I start? I have loved the Hop Pocket Ale for like two years now, and I've been trying to get my hands on a bottle of this for quite a while. Finally, at the R.F.D in Washington (owned by the people who own the Brickskeller). I've sampled the Prima Pils (by Victory), and this beer suits my taste buds much more. Pale colour, with a light and subtle hoppy smell. The taste is immaculate. Something so light with an actually hoppy taste is a very good thing! I could have drunk five of these and not really known! By far the best pilsner for me. Prima Pils was good, but its got nothing on Tupper! SeamusNeko (45), Anacostia, Washington DC, USA Apr 29, 2004 Setting: cask conditioned at the brewpub.
Appearance: Hazy straw yellow topped by a lazy white head, which receded to a slight film and a bubbly ring. Little was left in the way of lacing.
Aroma: Exquisite aromas of Saaz hops with some nice light malty goodness.
Flavor: Light pale malt sweetness followed by crisp herbalicious hoppiness. Exquisite pils.
Palate: Nice, light bodied beer. Very crisp and refreshing.
Overall: This sucker screams session beer. Very nummy. Not quite as hoppy as Prima Pils, but still darn hoppy for the style. HighGravity (877), Baltimore, Maryland, USA Jul 28, 2002 (Bottled 6/25/02) Hazy gold. Moderate carbonation. Thin head. Refreshingly bitter. The beer has an outstanding hop aroma, that is complimented by a dry hoppy finish. An excellent pils. Sir_HopsAlot (44), Cockeysville, Maryland, USA Oct 11, 2002 What a great Pils. The nose is a blast of canabus, and the palate is a wonderfully balanced explosion of hops. Great beer!
