COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Tuppers’ Hop Pocket Pils is made via a complex hopping schedule which includes dry hopping for weeks over whole-flower Saaz and Mt. Hood hops. Also used are Saaz, Mittelfruh, Spalt and Mt. Hood in the kettle. The beer is bottled and keg conditioned which provides very fine carbonation and a fine head.

Bottle from Bethesda bottle shop. Murky copper body with thin head. Nose is sweet, buttery and hoppy. Taste is plenty of hoppy and sweet. Enjoyable pils with a bit of a punch. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Had a difficult time locating this on the website, mine was labeled Tupper’s hop pocket pils brewed by Old dominion. Mine says lager beer on it but I know I saw keller someplace on the label but can’t see it now! Nice clean aroma from a bottle dated 010407. Pour is full of sediment. Looks like a hefe. Has a little bit of a candy. Taste is a little sweet, has a almost candy sensation about it. Now I sense it in the smell too, that candy thing in there. Unique finish is not too bad but it could have a few more manners.

Bottle. Pours copper gold with a white head, good retention/some lace. Aroma of floral/grassy hops, biscuit, hay. Taste is spicy saaz and floral hops, buttered biscuit, lager yeast. Palate is creamy, soft, bitter finish. Very interesting.

Hazy gold with a large white head. Aroma is floral, grass and hay. Biscuity, floral, grass. Nicely crisp finish. Solid beer and quite the summer refresher.

12oz bottle. Pours a clear straw color with a thick white head that leaves a slight lace. Big aroma of floral hops, grass, hay. Taste shows a smooth, toasty, biscuity malt backbone. Good hop crispness, lasts through the finnish. Touch of lemon and orange. Taste shows a smooth, toasty, biscuity malt backbone. Good hop crispness, although still a little malty sweet. Touch of lemon and orange. Finishes clean.

This was a go to for a time. I bought up a couple of cases when they stopped production a couple of years ago. Haven’t hap it since production started up again but I remember this being a nice hoppy beer. Very drinkable and enjoyable.

Bottle from Cavie. Light, hazy pour with a small white head. Aroma is sweet, light citrus, and maybe some minty smells. Taste is light fruit, spicy, grain, and a little twang in the finish.

Bottle. Pale golden, slightly cloudy. Aroma is a little musty. Finish starts slow, becomes bitter then coats the mouth. Overall this pretty good, but not my choice of style.

Bottle from brewolf...thanks Michael! - Pours a beautiful cloudy light amber, with a big fluffy, foamy white head that forms some mountainous peaks. Sweet bread malt, light and honeyed, with minimal floral/herbal hopping. Smells inviting, though I expected a little more hoppiness. The hops present themselves a bit more in the taste, finishing with a bitter, grassy twinge. The sweetness is still front and center--more than I’d like in a pils--but it’s not overbearing and the whole thing is refreshing. There are some buttery toffee flavors in there as well that are a bit unexpected. Pretty big body for the style with some big, fluffy carbonatoin. All in all a tasty, refreshing beer, but I’d like to see the sweetness dialed back a bit.

1/15/11. 12oz bottle. Slightly unclear golden pour with a small off-white head that fades and laces in chunky spots. Biting aroma of pilsner malt, lemon peel, and grassy hops. Nice malty, pilsner flavor with touches of apple, lemon peel, and lingering bitterness. Nice!
