3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle@Sardinia. Black beer with a strong head. The aroma is lightly roasted with maltiness. The flavour is malty and roasted with a little dryness. Overall a nice sweet stout.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Van de tap bij hoppa days, zwart met een mooie fijne creme kraag. Geur is geroosterd en een vleugje rook. Vol zuur en geroosterde smaak heeft veel weg van dark roast koffie en droge portwijn.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours dark with steady caramel foam, smoky and roasted are the main profiles, overwhelming everything else. Can’t say I like it, but making good balanced smoked beer is very difficult in general

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap @ Hoppy Days, Amsterdam. Pours a dark brown with an ugly, beige head. Aroma is roast, dark fruitiness is very prevalent, light smoke. Taste is roast, some berries, quite a bit of dark fruits, plums. Light smoke. Fairly low carbonation. Good, but not an imperial stout, I think.

Fairly decent Impy. Looks right, smells right and taste is OK, mouth feel is more than the ABV would suggest.

Bottle in Lecce. Coke colour with a medium beige head. Aroma and taste liquorice, some chocolate, a bit weak on the roast malt and coffee elements for an imperial stout. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap @ 4:20, Rome.
Pours dark red, almost black color with a small lasting head. Smoky aroma with some roasted malts and chocolate, faint coffee too. Chocolaty and malty flavor, mild charred notes. A unique blend of smoky IS. Something’s a bit off or larcing though.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draught @ Brasserie 4:20. Aroma is somewhat sweet and malty with toffee candy. No signs of roastiness. Flavour has nuts, coffee, some sweet malty tones, smoke and hints of toffee candy. Sticky palate. Rich & unusual. Could have more imperial stout & more smoke - but not bad this way either.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
330 ml bottle from Beer Up. Very dark brown, impossibile to see through, with a small, creamy and moderately persistent light beige head. Lovely aroma, not so rich/intense and "in your face" but clean and invinting. Roasted malts, licorice, herbal/balsamic hops, tons of bitter dark chocolate, earthy/rooty notes and a hint of vanilla. Very smooth and slick, certainly not a RIS talking about drinkability, body texture and alchool presence. Dark fruits, burnt caramel/toffee, bitter chocolate, light coffee astringency, very tasty and refined. Again rooty and moderately hoppy aftertaste. No booze taste at all, just a mild and pleasent warming sensation. Soft to average carbonation, medium body, creamy texture. Great beer, even though the Imperial Stout category may not be in its favour.
