Dark brown body with tan very bubbly head. Fresher aroma than expected. Forest hops, cereal, spruce and grass. Active carbonation but not overwhelming, rather giving a full mouth feel. Good amount of bitterness, roasted malts and generally a rich flavour. Ending with coffee. Well made, much better than expected. Are my taste buds already forgetting how hops taste like, or is this actually a totally unknown and very well made Fresh dubbel? Tasty nonetheless! (75cl bottle from 8 à Huit in Tours)

According to the staff this is a buckwheat beer, so ’Speciality Grain’ would be the right category for this
Aroma has some spices, brown sugar. toffee and dark fruits. Also some nuts. Flavour has some warming alcohol, nuts, some coffee, dark chocolate and hints of nettles. Palate is rather high on CO2. A Brown Ale with a Belgian twist.

75 cl bottle @ Gastropub Tuulensuu, Tampere. BBE 02/2015.
Pours hazy red-brown color with a medium-sized head. Aroma of spices, malts, caramel, ripe fruits and some orange peel. Flavor of spices, caramel, brown sugar, sweet malts, ripe fruits and ash dry chocolate. Strong carbonation, fruity and a bit malty bitter palate, light bodied. Odd but good. A belgian brown ale would be the proper style.
