Aug 16, 2008 Draft pint at their Weinbach location. Dark mahogany with a small beige head. Subtle aroma has some chocolate and faint smokiness and spicy hop. A bit thin on the palate. Faint chocolate and spicy hop on a caramel backbone. A wisp of smokiness. Pleasantly drinkable and a nice sipper with their excellent pizza.

Jun 14, 2008 Tasted 6/7/08. Draft sample from the St Louis Microfest. Filtered with a dark brown hue. Off-white ring of head. Aromas of cocoa and caramel and burnt toast. Medium bodied with a nice oaky character. Fruity nuances. Smooth malts and bitter finish. Not too bad.

Oct 16, 2007 Pours dark brown with little to no head. The flavor is smooth light chocolate malt. Not bad, and pretty easy drinking.

Jul 29, 2007 On tap at the restaurant. Pours very dark with little head. It finishes sweet with taste of caramel malt. Very little if any hop notes.

Jun 3, 2007 Draft. Pours a dark black brown with a light tan head. Aroma is very light but has a sweet caramel malt and faint grassy hop aroma. Flavor is smooth with a nice caramel and maybe a hint of a chocolate to it. Palate is smooth and has a nice finish to it.
