A bit thin on the palate. Faint chocolate and spicy hop on a caramel backbone. A wisp of smokiness. Filtered with a dark brown hue. Off-white ring of head. Aromas of cocoa and caramel and burnt toast. Medium bodied with a nice oaky character. Fruity nuances. Smooth malts and bitter finish. Very little if any hop notes. chadzter (86), huntsville, Alabama, USA Jun 3, 2007 Draft. Pours a dark black brown with a light tan head. Aroma is very light but has a sweet caramel malt and faint grassy hop aroma. Flavor is smooth with a nice caramel and maybe a hint of a chocolate to it. Palate is smooth and has a nice finish to it.
