Tmoney99 (4656), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Aug 7, 2006 Draft sample at IBGF 06. Amber color with amoderate white head that diminished slowly with good lacing. Moderate citrus hoppy aroma. medium body with a slick texture. Medium bitter citrus flavor with a medium bitter finish of moderate duration. Braudog (3733), Dayton, Ohio, USA May 17, 2006 Draft sample at St Louis Microfest 5/13/06: Reddish copper with a bit of a sticky head. This presents an earthy hoppiness with a citric twist only at the end. Pretty good IPA. KAggie97 (2406), Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA Oct 15, 2005 GABF 05. Pours a rich gold with a faint floral aroma. Flavor has a slight hops bite; reminds me of an IPA light. Palate coats. Nice, refreshing. jsquire (2087), St. Marys, Ohio, USA Sep 29, 2004 On tap at Mad Anthony’s Octobeer Fest. Amber color with a thin off-white head. Nice hop nose. Tastey malty beer with a clean caramel sweetness. Lots of soft pine hops in the finish. Terminus (1955), Las Cruces, New Mexico, USA May 16, 2006 tap at st louis microfest. Orange with a light copper hue with a soapy off-white head. Huge diacytl nose of buttery cardboardy caramel malt and earthy hops. not good. flavors are horrible-wet cardboard, caramel, diacytl and light earthy hops. body is somewhat full but not very solid with somewhat fizzy carbonation. ugh! Kevin (1917), Colorado, USA Dec 6, 2005 light brown pour with a lacing cream head. aroma- a bit of grass. taste is light pine , sugar daddy candy and grass. woody finish that i like . an easy drinking ipa that is not over the top. JoeM500 (1876), Chicago (little italy), Illinois, USA Mar 22, 2003 Decent orange color with gritty hop nose. Same caramel malt notes as in the red ale, but this time followed by a gritty, grassy hoppiness. Not well balanced, as in raindog's sample, so consistancy may be a problem here.
