Huge diacytl nose of buttery cardboardy caramel malt and earthy hops. not good. flavors are horrible-wet cardboard, caramel, diacytl and light earthy hops. body is somewhat full but not very solid with somewhat fizzy carbonation. ugh! Same caramel malt notes as in the red ale, but this time followed by a gritty, grassy hoppiness. Not well balanced, as in raindog's sample, so consistancy may be a problem here.
