2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Standard dark brown. Astringent roast aroma. Mostly roast in flavor - other aspects are present but overwhelmed. The mouthfeel is smooth enough to cover an undecided flavor profile. Not bad. Empty roast.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Sampled from the tap at the Nashville Flying Saucer. Pours a clear dark brown with a dark brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has roasted malts with hints of coffee and chocolate. Flavor starts with dark grains but is joined by a nice roast note with a bit of bitterness from coffee and dark chocolate.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft sampler pours black with a tan head. This beer scared me because I am not a fan of licorice . Taste is malt, coffe and a nice licorice finish, it is a very nice beer.
