COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Portly Stout is our robust stout. It is brewed with three different dark malts and has a creamy, smooth mouth feel. We kept the hops to a minimum so that the roasted malt character could be the predominant aspect of the beer. It is just a solid, straight-up stout.

Creamy, reddish tan head. Roasty aroma. Tastes nice and roasty, not overpowering. Very complex. Great local stout. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From tap, pours a deep red with a thick tan head that lasts. Mild coffee aroma. Much lighter feeling than I expected for a stout. Coffee and chocolate are the predominant flavors, with a lot of roasted malt. Bit of spiciness. Finishes too light and clean.

This is one of my favorite local beers. Best served on tap. And it's unbelievable with the bacon cheeseburger pizza at Kay Bob's in Nashville.

At casual pint. Pours black with some brown head. Nose is biscuity malts, chocolate, roast, coffee, light fruits. Flavor is again biscuit, cracker, stone fruits, coffee. Medium body. Finishes just lightly sweet, with evident roast and hop bitterness. Pretty darn good brew.

On draft. Jet black with a thick brown head. Aromas of coffee and roasted malt. Flavors of coffee, cocoa nibs and smoke, but this is definitely a sweeter stout. Really solid everyday stout.

Smoke is prominent on back palate. A slightly chalky mouthfeel with round creamy texture provide appeal. Malt is focus but sweetness is restrained.

Middle of the road stout. Pretty enjoyable. Not to bad in balance. Pretty good beer light chalk. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
