after4ever (2711), Brier, Washington, USA Dec 10, 2007 12-oz. Pours ultra-light yellow with a loose, sloppy-looking spray of platinum blonde suds across the top. Serious corn, DMS (rotting vegetable), diacetyl (cardboard) and booze on the nose. Watery, fizzy body. Sweet corn, tangy cardboard, and not much else. Corn on the sticky finish. I’m giving this a few points here and there for not being record-setting-ly flawed, but make no mistake: this is not good beer, and under no circumstances should it be drunk by anyone. gnoff (3560), Göteborg, Sweden Dec 1, 2007 (340 ml can, thanks BillieMaria!) Slight shady yellow color, white head. Sweet, sugary and lactose scent. Apple and corn taste, corn aftertaste. Thin spritzy mouthfeel, low bitterness. Marsiblursi (1631), Göteborg, Sweden Nov 30, 2007 (Can, thanks billiemaria) Pours yellow. Sweet grainy wort flavour with tones of sugar and glue. Herb like hops in the background. Some off aromas of egg and penicillin. Sweet and grainy flavour with sugar and some grass in the background. Off tasting. Watery, light bodied. Gusler (2655), Tucson, Arizona, USA Nov 15, 2007 The beer exits the 12-ounce bottle a light gold color with a creamy white head that crowns the body, as it erodes; the lace forms a thin sheet upon the glass. Nose has a sweet malt aroma, almost maple syrup; crisp and clean, start has a fair malt presence, thin at the top, which was expected. Finish has a pedestrian acidity, the hops mild but present, dry aftertaste, a fair to middling beer, a product of its environment, certainly better than many beers from such countries. spade (1), Cuernavaca, Mexico does not count Nov 14, 2007 12oz bottled beer from Africa. When I found this, I had to at least try it and I wasn’t dissapointed. I thought it was a good warm weather beer because, nicely chilled it proved to be a nice getaway from the heat. Even still, there are much better lagers out there. Funknmilla (577), Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 14, 2007 12 ounce bottle...Pale lemon-orange with an off white fluffy head....sweet aroma, weak banana candy, fake fruits frustrate the nostrils...soft body, thin flavor, easy to swallow, but what am I swallowing??...The poor man (George Hurst) was murdered by an elephant, and the beer still didn’t improve in his honor TrevorFloyd (309), Connecticut, USA Nov 13, 2007 Tasted like a macro, cheap and artificial, very watery. Were there any malts or hops used in its making? Could’ve fooled me. Oh well, hopefully Kenya has something better to offer. Wulfstan (509), California, USA Nov 13, 2007 Updated: Nov 16, 2007This is quite pleasant, against my expectations at finding a box of Kenyan lager on the floor of Bottle Barn. It is golden, bubbly at 1st, with a moderate, bubbly white head that dissipates fairly quickly. The aroma is mild, being bread dough with a hint of lemon/citrus. The tate is mild malt with plenty of grain, a hint of bitterness and a mild but pleasant, lingering flowery aftertaste. It is a bit watery and fizzy but still has a lively palate and makes up for the defects in flavour and aroma. It’s very pleasant and refreshing and would be great in hot weather.
