Odyn (205), New York, USA Sep 29, 2009 Not too bad, though I admit that I was on vacation and not really taking notes. It was hot and the beer was refreshing. Pleasant though not memorable. Enjoyit (1697), Vadum, Denmark Sep 29, 2009 Pale golden of color with a white head. An aroma of cooked vegtables, weak malt and weak hints of hops. A flavor of malt and vegetables. phaleslu (425), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Sep 28, 2009 12 oz. bottle from The Party Source. Pours a clear gold, slightly cloudy, with a small white head that laces the glass. Faint aroma of straw, corn, grains, grass, malt. Flavor follows suit, with some sweetness. Mouthfeel is light and the first few drinks are really fizzy, like club soda but with smaller bubbles. Pretty similar to an American macro lager- drink it cold and it can be refreshing without being nasty or leaving anything positive in the memory, either. strangaj (229), West Chester, Ohio, USA Aug 16, 2009 It is what it is. Another international lager that is better than bud light, but tastes just like all the rest. smcolw (314), Wayland, Massachusetts, USA Aug 15, 2009 Decent start to the head--leaves some spotty lace. Clear, almost like water. Pale yellow color.
Okay, the smell reminds me of pancakes--no syrup, no berries, just plain ordinary pancakes. There’s a slight skunkiness to the beer. Slightly sweet, lots of corn. Bland.
So, the blandness continues in the taste. Is it Bud, is it Miller? It could be. Thin bodied and highly carbonated. Where’s the hop? The brewer must have waved it over the kettle without letting fall in. If you like corn in your beer, this should serve you well. spkldhenlvr24 (446), Newburgh/Buffalo, New York, USA Aug 10, 2009 Bottle. Poured a pale yellow body with a fuzzy white head into a pilsner glass. Wheaty, malty aroma with some funky background. There are some faint sweet notes. Other than that the flavor is pretty much grainy, but not TOO bad. Thin body. Pretty much what you’d expect. swoopjones (1862), Buffalo, New York, USA Aug 10, 2009 Bottle. Pours a pale yellow pour with quicklty disintergrating fluffly white head. Mild sweet malt aroma, light floralness. Taste is light sweet malts, light floralness, watery Jordiam (70), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Aug 9, 2009 Bottle at the LCBO - My first African beer! Pours very pale yellow with nearly no head. Aroma is very faint, but you can pick up on some slight malts and grass. The taste is also faint, but somewhat bitter (not in a good way) and simple. Not a great beer, but fairly OK considering it’s from Kenya.
