The flavour is rather thin with grains, grass and some sweetness. My thanks to yespr. Capa (964), Yokosuka, Japan
| 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 1/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Oct 14, 2007 Wow. I’ve never seen a beer this colorless. Light fruity aroma. Crisp and refreshing. Flavor isn’t ofensive, but thats about it. Some malts, sweetness, and a touch of orange. Thin body. This beer gave me everything I thought it would. Boring flavor, but I get a tick mark in my stats (woohoo!), and an interesting story on the bottle. Beershine (2686), Hue, Vietnam
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Oct 13, 2007 Light color matches the light body of this Kenyan beer. It’s reasonably crisp and refreshing, with a surprisingly good bitterness. It is what it is. dj (419), Gloucestershire, England
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Oct 13, 2007 Bottle, 500ml. A pale golden colour with a medium-sized head. Aroma is light musty hops. Taste is slightly hoppy with rice notes and some sweetness. Somewhat watery. I fail to see why this was worth importing - just another boring lager. uoffgator (35), Miami, Florida, USA
| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Oct 11, 2007 Taste like a beer righ out of Africa. The Only real reason to purchase this beer is 1). it has Alcohol in it 2). you can add it to ur Ratings & 3). The labels story of the origins of the name "Tusker" is deffinatley something fun to do wile drinking a not so good beer. At least the story cancels ur chances of Buyers Remorse. jcwattsrugger (5223), Florida and, New Jersey, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Oct 10, 2007 12oz bottle-pours a disappearing white head and yellow color. Aroma is sweet corn/grain. Taste is sweet corn/grain-caramel, secondary light hops. Good carbonation. JustinBathurst (134), Corner Brook, Newfoundland, Canada
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Oct 6, 2007 Pours an ever-so-slightly green yellow (I even consulted some others in the room to make sure I hadn’t lost my mind). The head poured nicely despite having a very-soapy appearance, but dissapated very quickly. It smells like my bottled was slightly skunked.
The taste is very thin and watered-down. The mouthfeel is oddly slick. I detect a slight copper and a little bit of hops shining through. Not much of an aftertaste, but on the other hand, not much taste either.
There’s just something off about this beer. I can’t say I’d ever have it again or recommend it. Far too expensive at the LCBO for this--$2.85 Canadian per bottle. ChainGangGuy (2549), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Sep 30, 2007 Special thanks to AndoBrew, who brought this beer, along with many others, back from his recent trip to Africa, the Dark Continent.
Appearance: Pours a clear, golden body with a... white head? Hmm. Curious.
Smell: This smells exactly like the White Cap lager produced by the same Kenyan brewery.
Taste: This tastes almost identical to the White Cap lager. Very mild malt taste with an equally light sweetness. Hint of stale grain husks and flowers. The finish holds tastes of chicken broth and simmered veggies.
Mouthfeel: Light-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: Another okay, but odd African lager!
