The body of this beer could actually pass for sparkling wine were it not for the larger bubble size. There is a small, pure white head that leaves behind a snake-like lacing. The aroma is lemony and grassy, with a faint dusty overtone. Its not especially aromatic, but the smells that I did pick up were appealing. The flavor is moderately sweet, with lemony, creamy, and mildly spicy characteristics. The flavor is not at all skunky, which is a pleasant surprise. The body is light, but not nearly as watery as most pale lagers. The beer actually has alot of Witbier attributes.
Coming from Africa, I expected the worst out of this beer. Much to my delight, I was mistaken. I bought this beer just to try something different, and after having consumed it, I am a fan. This is honestly one of the best pale lagers that I’ve ever had. Moral of the story: Don’t judge a book by its cover. slimchill (777), Austin, Texas, USA

Surprisingly nice flavor, earthy with minor citrus notes. Crisp palate, balanced with a nice finish. robinvboyer (1428), Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, Canada

Nose is very grainy, with big notes of corn, grass. flavour is much of the same, quite grainy, with a hint of malt. Not much hops, but its refreshing, and quite smooth. A good lawnmower beer. carpimp03 (4), jena, Louisiana, USA does not count | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jul 23, 2007 HAD ONE IN ANIMAL KINGDOM THOUGHT IT WAS A VERY GOOD LAGER.NO BAD AFTER TASTE,VERY LIGHT AND SMOOTH. cossey20 (1), USA does not count | 4.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Jul 19, 2007 the best bHead - Initial appearance

Some time later I was back at the liquor store talking about beer and the owner mentioned that the beer distributor had conned him into buying a case of Tusker, and that since then he had sold but one six-pack! Comingfrom Kenya, I wasn’’t expecting much of this - thought it might just taste of dirty water, but it wasn’t half bad actually. Fairly sweetish and lacking a little kick, but not too bad - would need to be fairly cold to be enjoyable. PilsnerPeter (2612), Flushing, New York, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Jun 20, 2007 Bottle: My first taste of Africa. Very pale clear golden with a vanishing white head. Some light/sweet malt in the aroma, along with cardboard and canned corn. Very thin and light. Watery, stale/soggy pale malts. Some straw and a papery finish. Generic; possibly refreshing in the heat of Kenya.
