1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 GuilTTy (686) - Cherry Hill, New Jersey, USA - OCT 16, 2008
Bottle (of course). This’ll be simple: Avoid this beer unless you (like I at the time) have some other reason to add a Kenyan beer to the fridge or a tasting menu. Smells like rotten grain and corn and taste like watered down rotten grain or corn. I’m a big fan of African spices but I wouldn’t do them the injustice of serving African spiced foods with this beer. Yes, it’s worse than our domestic pale lagers - well... maybe not worse than Keystone or Natural Light.

Bottle. Pours a crystal clean golden in color, very small white head. The aroma is minimal with just a hint of malty sweetness. The flavoor is not much different with just a touch of grassy hops added to the party. It is a bit thin, light in body, but highly drinkable, ending in a clean finish.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Rynoplasty (700) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - OCT 12, 2008
Pours golden with a large white head. Aroma is pale malt and a very small amount of head. Taste is almost all pale malt, not a terrible brew but nothing special.
2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 ScottB (73) - Bristow, Virginia, USA - OCT 9, 2008
From the bottle while sitting in the airport in Nairobi during a REALLY long layover. Slightly more flavor that Bud Light. Didn’t hate it, but not one I would buy even if it were available where I live.
1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 3/20 Albertcampion (8) - , Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 27, 2008 does not count
UPDATED: OCT 10, 2008 Bottle from local shop. Pours a large, frothy head. Very faint spice aroma, strangely - brought to mind walking past the Taj Stores in Brick Lane. Appearance almost unnaturally gold/yellow. Very thin taste with the faintest hint of malt. Not much flavour to be savoured. Refreshing, but then so is water.
1.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 tgncc (1797) - Bellmore, New York, USA - SEP 5, 2008
UPDATED: JUN 12, 2011 Rerate on 6/12/2011. The beer sucks nearly as much as I previously remember. The aroma is more corn now, less skunk. Still some skunkiness and brackish water. But the corn seems to lend more of a sweetness to the aroma and flavor that wasn’t there before. Prevoius: At EPCOT at a beer station, 09/5/2008. GROSS!!!! It was a typical pale lager, but truly skunky in its aroma. The flavor had a dirt-like quality to it, maybe from poor water in the brewing?? Never again.

Bright yellow gold color, with a frothy white head, leaving laces, sweet corny nose, with a pale malt aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a mild sweet pale malt character, faint hay note, leading towards a crisp refreshing, subtle hops bitterness finish.
