Tusker Lager

I’d like to say this was "elephantastic," but that’s not the case. Mostly inoffensive, foreign macro-style, sweetish and somewhat floral light-tasting lager with a green apple presence. Thin and not very interesting. Then again, pale lagers = the most overcrowded and dismally boring beer style on this goddamn planet, so what do you expect?

Pours clear gold, frothy head that dissipates quickly. Richer aroma than flavor. Light and airy in the mouth, but there’s nothing unpleasant about it. Citrusy aftertaste.

12 oz bottle. Pours light gold. Creamy white head that fades quite quickly. Smells like toast. Tastes sour and doughy. Minimal hops and malt. Quite thin. Unspectacular lager.

Pours a three finger white head that fades quickly to a thin layer leaving some lace. Clear pale amber color. Light carbonation and light-medium bodied. Slight skunky nose. Starts sweet, hops are hidden, not an American lager, sweet corn finish, would make a good lawn mower beer. $1.95 for a 12oz bottle from Colonial Spirits Acton, Ma.

not much of an aroma, with a slightly wheaty flavour, makes it a good lager. my first kenyan beer.

Bottle from argo0. Pours very clear and very pale with a medium sized white head. The aroma is honey, dough and light grassy hops. The flavor is fairly dry, grassy hops, light bread and slightly metalic especially on the finish. Light body with high carbonation.

Clear yellow with generous head that leaves nice lace. Aroma is horrible: burnt toast, hay and no hops. Flavour doesnt’ bring much to the table: Just a grassy continuation of the aroma. Watery palate with some carbonation. I had high hopes for this one and it turned out to be horribilis maximus.

[096-20061105] 500mL. Dusty red meat aroma mixed with mushroom, light skunk and a bit of rotten fruit. Clear, light but deep yellow body with tiny bubbles throughout and a quick white head. Sweet, lightly yeasted bread flavouring. Smooth, light-medium body. Smell is complicated garbage but taste is not unpleasant.
