It has an aroma of sweet hops and a taste that matches. Thin and generally unimpressive. ATOmemphis (200), Franklin, Tennessee, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 5, 2006 Really light yellow/clear. Good small head that stayed. Hoppier smell. A little breadsy note. Quite sweet. To me, its still a pale lager, and its not very strong... Likeburning (149), Franklin, Tennessee, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 5, 2006 Clear light yellow lager color. The aroma was hoppier and sweeter than expected for a pale lager. A light to medium body that could be considered heavy for a PL. So far, the best Pale Lager I’ve ahd. | 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Mar 4, 2006 This beer offers a sweet but mildly skunky aroma. It is a translucent golden solution with a decent white head. This bitter beer enters the mouth thin and leaves a slight fruit tingle on the tongue. stegosaurus (1882), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA

Aroma of hay straight from the lions pen, flavor almost non-existant slight sweetness, blah ill pass on another. GarethYoung (1110), Glasgow, Scotland

| 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Feb 27, 2006 (500 ml bottle: $3.49 at BevMo in La Jolla, CA) Another African pale lager with a 1-year shelf life, this bottle states "MFG 31-May-05, EXP 31-May-06". But I imagine the nine months since bottling have taken their toll as cardboard is a central flavor component in this beer. Lightly sweet corn/grain maltiness and a mild bitterness do their best to refocus my attention away from the cardboard with only moderate and temporary success. Cardboard and grain in the nose as well. Light bodied but not watery, well-carbonated but not burpy, neither clean nor crisp, and not really all that refreshing either. Medium straw in color with just a touch of haziness. An inch of bubbly white head forms on the pour and shows solid retention and an acceptable amount of patchy lacing. Take away the cardboard and this would be too awful, but at least with this bottle, this isn’t even remotely enjoyable, and wow, $3.49 a bottle is absolutely insane. oldrtybastrd (1801), Morlautern, Germany/Great Falls, Montana, USA
